Submit an Abstract

On behalf of the Scientific Committee of WICH 2017, thank you for submitting your work for presentation at the 6th World Intracranial Hemorrhage Conferenc​e 2017 in Baltimore, USA. We have an on-line submission and evaluation process administered by Kenes; please take a moment to read the following simple guidelines.

In response to your request, we will keep the abstract submission system open after March 2nd 2017.  You can submit your abstracts to be evaluated in the Poster category over the system until Monday, April 24, 2017. (Oral presentations will not be accepted).



All abstracts must be submitted on-line through the abstract submission system. Abstracts that are sent via e-mail or fax will not be included in the abstract assessment process by the Scientific Committee.


Abstract Submission Guidelines​


  • All submissions must be made online by March 2, 2017.
  • If an abstract is accepted for presentation, the first author must undertake to present it.
  • All abstracts will initially be reviewed, graded and accepted or rejected by the Program Committee. The Committee reserves the right to determine whether an abstract submission is accepted as an oral presentation or a poster. The decision of the Committee is final.
  • The presenting author will be required to register for the congress in order to have acceptance of the abstract confirmed.

Preparation of Abstracts

  • All abstracts must be submitted in English. 
  • An abstract must have a short, specific title (containing no abbreviations) that indicates the nature of the investigation.
  • Describe briefly the objectives of the study unless they are contained in the title. Include a brief statement of methods if pertinent. State findings in detail sufficient to support conclusions. Abstracts should not describe research in which the chemical identity or source of the reagent is proprietary or cannot be revealed.
  • Use generic drug names.
  • Standard abbreviations may be used without definition. Nonstandard abbreviations (kept to a minimum) must be placed in parentheses after the first use of the word or phrase abbreviated.
  • Do not include references, credits or grant support.
  • Do not include the names or personal information of any patient participating in the study or trial.
  • The body of the abstract must not exceed 2,500 characters (including spaces). The addition of a graphic deducts 500 characters. Graphic files should only include one image per file.

Evaluation Process and Acceptance Letters

All submitted abstracts will be scored by 3 members of the Scientific Committee following which the draft program will be drawn up. While scientific merit is the most important factor in evaluating an abstract, the program will also take into account other factors such as the topic, geographic representation etc.

Acceptance letters will be sent by Friday, March 17, 2017 via e-mail. Relevant information about your abstract’s presentation including the presentation date, time, venue, presentation number will be included in the acceptance letters. 

The presenting author of the abstract must be registered for the congress
by Friday March 24, 2017.
